Jake Melton - Drums
Jake is a pretty simple guy really. Jake plays drums, is an expert on consuming malted beverages, and plays a wide range of styles from country western, to jazz, to hard rock.
Dave Harmon - Lead Vocals/Guitar
Born to a California rocker, and a Bluegrass girl from Oklahoma, Davy trained his ear early on in life. Listening to his mom and aunt pick and grin around the coffee table at his grand parents house to the likes of Alison Krauss, Flatt and Scruggs, Paul Simon and Jim Croce, Davy would soon realize his love for music transcended genres. Around the 4th grade I think…who’m I kidding, this isn’t a “biography,” it’s an “autobiography!” It’s me, I’m Davy… I got a saxophone and started taking lesson from a local music store before I started 5th grade band. I played alto and tenor sax all trough Jr High and High School Jazz , Concert and Marching band. That opened my eyes to whole new genres that I’ve never stopped loving and learning from. Right around that time, I rekindled a Sunday School friendship with a doucheb…guy that also played in jazz band. It was made mention that I looked, at the time, like a bass player, and that ultimately changed my life FOR-E-VER. It’s a Sandlot reference in case you didn’t know.
I’ve since managed to play music with that doucheba…guy, for the better part of 20 years now. Crazy! Right around the age of 21 I learned, given enough liquid propulsion, I could sing beyond my means. That opened the flood gate, so to speak, and we’ve been going ever since. Some members have gone by the wayside, for the better in most cases. One thing that will never fade is the love to learn, play and sing!
Brian VanMater - Lead Guitar/Keys
Brian was raised with a deep love for rock and blues. He, as a teen, started using music as an excuse to get out and goof off with friends. He began piano lessons at the age of 15 and soon realized that the piano and music was something he would stick with forever.
Over the years he has learned to play and love many instruments. He uses his experience of composition and structure to bring added dynamics to an already robust sound. Brian adds a bit of tasty, refined tone to every instrument he plays.
